On Sunday, September 29th, our Living Rock Fellowship family came together for a truly special thanksgiving service. The day was filled with moments that exemplified the power of faith, unity, and the enduring strength of our community.
Leadership in Action
Our congregation was blessed to be led by a group of dedicated brothers in Christ. Their guidance throughout the service reminded us of the importance of servant leadership, as taught in 1 Peter 5:2-3: “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”
A Portrait of Unity and Love
The service was a beautiful testament to the unity and love that bind our Living Rock family together. As we worshipped and gave thanks, the spirit of togetherness was palpable, bringing to life the words of Psalm 133:1: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
The Power of Prayer
One of the most touching moments of the service came when our children demonstrated their understanding of the power of prayer. They lifted up our shepherd and father in the Lord, praying for renewed strength and health. This powerful display of faith reminded us all of James 5:16: “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
Reflections on Gratitude
As we reflected on our blessings, we were reminded of the importance of gratitude in our Christian walk. Colossians 3:17 tells us, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Our thanksgiving service was a living embodiment of this scripture.
Looking Forward
This service has reinvigorated our community, strengthening our bonds and deepening our faith. As we move forward, let us carry the spirit of thanksgiving with us every day, continually growing in love and unity.
